Pattern stencils are fun & easy to use and they can be combined with many other Blue Ribbon designs.
For example, choose an angel. Using a neutral color like tan, stencil lightly around all the edges. Without removing the angel, lay one of the pattern designs over the area where you want the pattern. Stencil the design in one color in that area, then lift. Voila! Use other patterns for the wings, bodice, or anything else you can imagine, until you have completed your angel. Mix colors and patterns to create plaids and other textures.
