We've found quality brushes at reasonable prices, and recommend them for the beginner or the advanced stenciler. The white bristles are durable and distrubute your paint smoothly and evenly. They are well made and last a long time.
To avoid contamination, it's best to use one brush for each color you'll use in your project. A fresh, dry brush for each color saves a lot of time and frustration that frequent brush washes can cause. You may want to select different sizes for different stencil designs; larger cut-out areas need larger brushes while the 1/8" brushes are perfect for tiny detail.
